I was was born in a small coastal town in Maine in the mid 1970’s. I studied anthropology and photography at Hampshire College, and the University of Southern Maine. My interiors, and editorial photography has appeared in local and national magazines, and newspapers, and my fine art work has been hung in galleries, including the Center for Maine Contemporary Art.
I have been photographing homes for over a decade, and believe every home has a unique story to tell. I use my background in documentary and photojournalism, and my artists’ perspective, to authentically share each story in a way that’s visually compelling, and invites people to look. Let me photograph your most inspiring creations, and stories, where I can engage my intellect, create relationships, and share my artistic vision.
I maintain a home and studio in Portland, Maine, and also work abroad, with Marseille, France as my (future) second port of call.
To discuss or book a project, please call me at 207.318.5754, or email rachelsieben@gmail.com.
